Being a Bride

This is what I dreamed of when I was a little girl. I am in complete heaven lately. Fourteen days til I get to be a bride.
Thanks to my cousin Andrea who did my hair, make up, and took all of these pictures. She is amazingly talented, don't you think?

Mush is all

All I can think about/talk about/dream about/blog about is Brent. So sorry about the lack of creativity on the blogposts lately. But look at this face. Can you blame me???

Hmmm. Yeah that's all I have to say. I'm completely, madly, wildly in love with him.

Please come soon, May 20th. I cannot wait to be his wife.

Elf Hunt

When Brent and I first started dating, we made a long list of things we wanted to do. I named it the "Moose List" since that is what I called him in the beginning. We did most of our activities during the summer, such as go to the zoo, Ikea, the temple openhouse etc.

Our list sat for a couple months, but on Wednesday night we got to cross off "Elves at Christmastime." Yeah, that's right. Last May we decided that we wanted to go to an unnamed place to see if we could find... um.... short people.

There is a rumor in Salt Lake County about this. Do you follow? So anyways, we decided it would be a great Christmas activity, to be as politically incorrect as possible. Well, we definitely found weird, little houses, but alas, no Santa Helpers. Better luck next year. But seriously, some of these houses look like they came out of children's story books.

Here is Brent by some old castle where princess used to be kept. He looks gangster cuz his hat was reflecting the flash so he had to turn it around.

I am just freaked out because of all the no tresspassing signs we passed.

After this, we went to see the lights at temple square. It was soooo cold and Brent hadn't prepared well so I made him try on some warm things from my closet. Yeah, he fit! He's skinny skinny.

Good thing Brent doesn't read my blog cuz I'm going to tell you a secret. I got him to keep on that hot pink jacket. Look for it in the following photos:

8 Months

It has been 8 (EIGHT!?!) months since I met Brent at the youth conference in Chile. Little did I know what would become of us. He is merely referenced to in my journal as "an American guy" at the conference. He is now my best friend, my most favorite person in the world. In celebrating the past eight months, I present to you...

Eight things I love about Brent

1. Kids adore Brent. They are always wanting to sit in his lap and get a bit of his attention. He has conversations with them like they are mini adults.

2. I sometimes have crazy weird ideas. And Brent always goes along with them. Case in point: "we all need to immitate an animal, ok?"

3. One of the first things people learn about Brent is that he is insanely passionate and talented in film. No need for wikipedia or IMDB when Brent is around. He has it all memorized. He owns thousands and thousands of fims. He is going to be famous.

4. I am a worry-wart. And Brent is not. Isn't that nice? He calms me and helps me not be so scared all the time. I love how complementary we are.

5. Look at these blue eyes:

6. Brent and I can talk about anything and everything for hours. And we do. Our conversations range from spiritual to psychological to giddy nonsense.

7. Brent likes everything to be clean and organized. His car is always spotless. I like that in a guy.
(Notice his clean car in the background. But also the fact that he is dressed up as a Chicago country-club man goes along with reason #2).

8. Brent is quite possibly the nicest person you will ever meet. He is extremely kind and generous. He is teaching me not to be so quick to judge people.

A Boy Named Brent

I have not been blog posting lately. We'll blame in on Brent. I have not been going to bed at a normal time. We'll blame that on Brent too. I have been a giddy spazz lately. Yeah, that's because of Brent too. What can I say? I like this boy.
